I'm using the latest arachne on DOS (but it's not a windows DOS).

Is there a key I can hit to interrupt a download? Sometimes I go to
a site and realize that it is going to take 4 mins to get the page, or
that I've made a mistake and it's not the site I want. At the moment
I seem to have no choice but to sit it out (or else exit arachne). I
thought the ctrl-break key was going to do it, but the message screen is
misleading: ctrl-break doesn't abort the download, it exits arachne!

Is there a way to have arachne operate as a text browser, not downloading
all the graphics that sites have on their front page? The ~ key seems
to do no more that stop the graphics being rendered onto the screen
(giving a saving of up to 2 seconds), but it still insists on dragging
all the time-consuming graphics across the net and storing them, even
though they are no going to be used.
