Folks,

Who is going to grab that open source and go to work on it??  I already
have a scheme in mind that should write long-name files in a manner
which would allow InSight to name each in a unique manner, or at least
each on a single message.  Have a couple of possible ways to do it
in mind actually. 

But for me to test anything the source would need to be ported
to pure ANSI C and the turbos and plusses gotten rid of -- else I can
neither understand nor compile it.
