The 256 color CORE.EXE APM is the reason I am still using v1.66 
(there is no alternate CORE.EXE for 1.67) as well as the maximum 
memory MMCORE.EXE APM on my Arachne XT box. Theoretically you should 
have fewer problems with memory issues as Arachne needs as much low 
memory as possible. Since I seldom run the default CORE.EXE I cannot 
say much about how much superior or inferior the 256 colore CORE.EXE 
is, but I like it fine. HTH.
