This is a good page to bookmark, since DR-DOS (one of the DOS versions the
website you mention makes available) is not offered for free download from
Caldera anymore. As of a few days ago you could still find it at the
non-affiliated website http://www.pysmatic.net/dr-dos/, but they were
clearly concerned that Caldera could choose to pull the plug at any time. I
suspect your site lives with the same possibility.
And on the subject of DR-DOS, I note the Arachne introductory text file now
specifically mentions that DPMI is a problem vis-a-vis Arachne with DR-DOS
7.01 but not 7.03. I can tell you from experience that 7.02 has the same
problem as 7.01. If you don't load the DR-DOS DPMI file, however, 7.02 (and
presumably 7.01) are OK with Arachne.
In hindsight, this problem with 7.02 was a major part of the difficulties I
had a year ago trying (and failing) to get Arachne 1.50b to work on my
Compaq running this same operating system. Glad the problem has at least
now been flagged for future users.
