Rank speculation and paranoia. There is a link at drdos.org
to the Lineo ftp site. All existing versions of DR-DOS are
available there for download. All the files are dated October
1999.

Lineo says they are concentrating on embedded Linux, but they would
be happy to sell DOS licenses for various purposes.

I tried downloading various things this morning and everything came
across just fine.

I don't know what the referance to copyright problems means, but I
don't think there's a problem with Lineo because they are making
DR-DOS redily available in multiple versions. Also lots of other
stuff too, like CP/M, GEM, and so forth.

Their attitude seems to be: check it out, experiment, try things.
If you come up with a viable commercial product they'll be happy to
sell licenses.

That's my interpretation.

If they didn't want you to download it, they wouldn't make it available
would they?
