I respond:
How is Netscape 6 for Linux real crap? Is it very buggy, or is it just far too
bloated? I won't be able to try it on present computer, Cx486DX2-S at 66 MHz
with 20 MB RAM. Is it supposed to require 64 MB RAM? The way things are going
with bloatware, a new computer with 128 MB RAM won't be good for long. I
remember being dismayed recently to find the open-source Mozilla to have grown
too fat in its hardware requirements.
It should improve efficiency to develop Arachne Linux and DOS versions
concurrently, using DJGPP which is designed for porting from Unix to DOS.
I just installed Arachne 1.68, haven't been online yet but got load error trying
to view CHARSET.MES file, just as with Arachne 1.67.
