Michael,
I would suggest that a fourth cycle for the <F5> toggling of the icons. Show
*NO* icons! Just have the URL space on top of the screen.
I have stayed with DOS because I *can't tolerate* icons. I am too impatient
to point and click when a simple keyboard command will do the same thing and
quicker. It has been more than 60 years since I pointed and said, "Doggie!"
I (and I imagine that most other computer users also) know what they want to
do, and looking for icons and guessing what the icons mean is a waste of time.
I use AutoCad, but not beyond Release 12 because of the Windoze-like
interfaces of Release 13 and beyond. (You need a 19" monitor so that you
will have a 10" space in which to draw.) I stopped using the on-screen menus
of AutoCad about 15 minutes after I installed v.4.2, the first AutoCad that I
had. As soon as I found that the on-screen menus could be disabled, they
were.
I use WordPerfect 5.1(DOS). Although I have WordPerfect 6.x(DOS), I don't
use it because the interface is too Windoze-like and it takes too much time
guessing what things do. Similarly, I have one Windoze version of
WordPerfect which I have never used, except maybe for converting some Word
file to WP5.1.

existing and popular layout was not wise, I didn't know that so many
people are using what I considered to be rater ugly and unbalanced. It
will take some time to reimplement it, using new 14 nice-looking icons
instead of those 12 older, which were not enough to access all Arachne
functions easily just by mouse.<<
