I support this suggestion. Also Arachne used to give a green
status bar percetnage while clearing the cache. This was a nice
indication of activity. With 1.69 you don't get that and it takes
much longer to actually clear the cache with F8.

Dropping to DOS with alt E and deleting manually seems faster to
me. Less convenient, though.
