I hope you can discover what's wrong with my setup. Arachne looks
like the solution to my problem of keeping email access without buying
a new computer in order to run Windows [Ugh!].
My ISP has been running a BBS/Internet system and I've been using
his BBS to do my email (as I'm doing today). However, the System
Manager wants to get the few of us still using his BBS off the system
so he can concentrate on users in browser mode. He says that his
system detects which mode you are in (BBS or Internet) when you make
your connection. I wonder if Arachne should send out a querying
PPP packet to get his system's attention?
