Hi Harry,
I too use a BBS type mail system for my email.
So I can't help with Arachne email setup.
Below please find the portions of two different arachne.cfg
files which I use to connect to two different ISP's. The first
file uses F7 to load packet driver. The second file connects
using auto login. Look them over and see if they can help you
setup your arachne.cfg file.

File 1: uses F7 to log on:

;This is ARACHNE.CFG for Arachne version 1.6+
;If you want to use Arachne on PC with CPU 486+ you should start here.
;(tested on AMD K5/133). This profile is slightly less video-intensive.
;This configuration file can be completely controled from Arachne setup.
;Run "setup" if you are not sure what to change in configuration file.
