If you have X configured right, you can use <ctrl><alt><->
(the keypad "-"; not the top-row "-") to "zoom in" and change the
display resolution to 800x600 which will show Arachne at full-screen
size. You can keep hitting that key combination until you cycle
through all the screen resolutions defined in your XF86Config
Modes line for that color resolution. You'll still retain your
1024x768 desktop size, so you can have other apps off to the side
which you can slide over to if you wish.
So, while you can't resize a GGI window like you can an X-window,
(changing it's size in pixels) you can still view it at several
different resolutions, which does change it's size relative to the
screen, even though the size of the GGI window will remain at 800x600.
