Nothing like editorial comment. ;-)

Some members of the Physics Dept. at McMaster U claimed they used it for
their *OS* for a while in the late 70's. <g> On minicomputers no less.
Actually they just used it as the user interface to a primitive and
unfriendly Disc OS. But almost everyone ran their experiments with it.

Thanks, Steve. Yes, PYGMY does have rpm. I tried to look at my CD
and was told it wasn't a block device. There don't seem to be any
driver modules in '07 for CD but there are in '06. I copied them
over and tried to insmod one, (mscdx.o) and got the message that
it was compiled for an earlier version. When forcing the insmod,
there were some error messages and I still couldn't mount the CDROM.

So, at this time it might be easier to try to install your copy. <G>
