Speaking of the UK Freeserve, I just now used Arachne to connect to
http://polonez.freeserve.co.uk/ntreader and I downloaded a 324K file in
about a minute and a half. A few minutes previous to my having performed
a successful download with Arachne I had connected with the site using
Nettamer. The download was coming thru the tubes at only 234CPS and the
download aborted. Tried it several times and the same thing happened.
With Lynx386 I apparently failed to connect and I got an error
"HTTP 1.1 302 Found" and my application locked up solid. This happened
twice. Both times I was able to exit only by "CTRL + C". No problem
with Arachne. BTW, does anyone know what the aforementioned error message
means?
