What if you have to pay by the hour for your internet connection time
and you are downloading your email with an XT and a 2400K modem, and
along comes a 200K spam message? Wouldn't you feel that you would have
every right to bitch about it? This is like receiving junk mail with
postage due and you have to pay the postage for it regardless of whether
you have any desire to open the article. I think you should sue the
bastards. In Virginia there is a new law that provides for just that.
Furthermore, the new law even provides for criminal charges and jail time
for the offenders. So far I do not know of any cases brought before the
courts based on this new law. To see the full text of this new Virginia
law go to http://www.suespammers.org/va/sb881.shtml
