My Classic connection in Archer (near Gainesville, FL) was
also 33kbps on a 33k modem, but I was living .2 miles from the
telephone central office there. :-)
We're going to be dividing our weeks between Strafford, NH and
Beverly, MA, so I was looking for something I could dial in to
from both places. (I certainly don't want to have two accounts,
each accessible from only one place).
There's a 56K number in Dover, which is a local call from
Strafford, but I'm not familiar enough with the Beverly area to
know which of the nearby towns will be local or long distance.
... after pulling out the Atlas (which had already been
packed) I seen Danvers is less than 10 miles from Beverly,
and there's Classic number >= 33.6 there.
I can't be positive that'll be a local call, but I guess I'll
just take the bet that it will be and sign up with CS again.
