I connect to the web through a CompuServe Classic account. I
routinely have a connect speed of 26,400 (I'm using a 33,600
modem). I think your connect speed has more to do with your own
settings -- up to the max speed of your modem -- than the dial-up
number.
To the best of my knowledge, you can't use Arachne on a CIS
2000 account.
