Ricsi,
Maybe I can find the book again at the library. I was surprised to
see smartdrv in autoexec as well as in config.sys. Don't know how that
happened (or when) It had been over a year since I had even looked
at either of these files. I'm not very disciplined about this, I
must admit. Nor very knowledgable. I'm a very ordainary DOS user with
no technical background.
I've made most of the changes suggested and my system seems a little
faster and more stable. So far no crashes.
Yes, I've thought of using ctmouse--but I've already got unused upper
memory, so what would it gain me?
