Harry, I'm no wizard, but I've been using Arachne for four years and
have installed and connected with it at least sixty times with
various versions on five or six different computers. What I do now
is just use the installation wizard.
Since I don't have much technical expertise, I have to take a "fly
by the seat of my pants" approach. As an experiment, I would try
setting up a regular autoexec.bat and then try a brandnew, fresh
install using the installation wizard.
This might just work and I think it would be worth a try. Maybe
there's no need to figure it out first.
Or maybe one of the real wizards on the list can spot what the
problem is.
