You asked if you had to remove LZW; they responded "remove the LZW
capability."
Those are two different things. They could require you to do the first;
they have no right to even suggest the second. Do you understand the
difference, and the possible solution? There's more than one way to
break a code ...
Now I have a question for Michael & the other gurus ... I've stuck to
GIF images whenever possible because of universality of browsers'
ability to handle that format. I want to avoid PNG because apparantly
not all browsers can handle that, I want to avoid JPG because of the
need for Arachne to decode it to BMP, I want to avoid BMP because of the
size -- so *what* alternative format[s] is/are available???
