Seriously,
This is a well known problem with Winsock.
It "locks-up" the modem until the machine has been rebooted.
In your case that would be...... cable-modem.
On a similar note,
This P150 must be "powered-down/powered-up" after running W95.
If all I do is reconfigure and Cntrl+Alt+Del to reboot into OpenDos....
the result is a complete lock-up as the BIOS attempts to detect the CDRW
