Dear Ms. Woods, When I asked about using software to adjust the display there was a *very* good reason: I don't have spare monitors lying around here just waiting for me to use them while I ship off my P655 to wherever ... I belong to a software development list, an animal rescue list, an adoption reform list, and have various documents forwarded to me on a daily basis which require near immediate response. I also have a website which I'm in the process of doing a badly needed update for, and must soon be updating on a *daily* basis. None of that can be done by any means other than computer; even my FAX send/receive is via FAX/modem in my system. Tell me please, just how in tarnation I'm supposed to do all that if my computer is useless because I had to ship my monitor somewhere for repairs! It's not funny, it's not a joke. I'm a disabled veteran who is dependent upon a computer for 99% of my communications, including contacting my primary care physician at the VA Medical Center, the center where my dog will be trained as a 'service dog' to assist me, and the people who got me the dog in the first place and are assisting me -- just to name a few things. I purchased ViewSonic because of good write-ups, and because Speedway uses them in their gas stations cum convenience stores, and I figured anything that could take the beating those dummy employes would give a monitor had to be high quality and dependability. I thought I was getting extra value for the extra money I paid out; now I wonder if I got suckered into "buying a name." Sincerely, l.d. ==== On Sun, 01 Apr 2001 23:27:46 -0700, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hello. Thank you for your inquiry.
