All machines and electronic devices are subject to failures. Things blow up, break down, fall apart. Stuff happens. Nothing is 100% reliable. Never was, never will be. If your computer is mission critcal, then you need backup systems, you need redundancy. Perhaps you might want to think about getting a spare--a cheap used system to have on hand just in case you need it.
