Arachne works just fine.  It shows the Local IP.  The "Local IP" is
different from the "Internet IP."

If you are dialing up, you don't *have* a Local IP!  Only those on
network, or NIC for other purposes like the cable modem setup I run,
have a LOCAL IP.  

You can take a look at the difference between Local IP & internet IP if
you'd like ...  I put up a couple of screen shots that show both:
