Sam, I understand your frustration with the "favors" these people insist
on doing to you. <G>
Perhaps you should try to find one of the labs used by professional
photographers.
No, they don't all do their own film developing.
Some find it unnecessarily boring.
But they are likely to do all their own printing.
I think you might find these labs can follow instructions.
You aren't likely to get your stereo slides mounted, but at least you
should be able to get the film back uncut.
