There's a small risk, I haven't checked if JPEG2000 (IIRC that's the name)
is used yet. If it is I should be able to obtain a new version of
djpeg32.exe (since it's used in almost all other programs).

Nope no new version out yet. I doubt it's the new JPEG standard then.

Perhaps you can use djpeg32.exe directly on the JPG files in question,
perhaps there's somehting wrong with them that djpeg32 might tell you.
