This is my first reply to this Arachne "forum". Thanks for your patience!
Why does my display screen have several black rectangles that obliterate
about
10 percent of the screen area?
Why does the "pointing finger" leave a black trail as I tab it around
the
screen?
I use no Windows at all. PC-DOS 5.00 on an old IBM PS/1 486SX at 25 MHz
with 4
MB RAM. VGA. I don't even use a mouse (by choice). Arachne 1.70 just
quickly
installed yesterday. I'm very "green" (ignorant) of both Arachne and
browsers
and the internet in general. I am a retired electrical engr and have had a
PC
for more than 20 years however. External 14,400 Zoom modem. I use
Compuserve
by a home telephone line.
I have this working well enough to access Google.
I wonder if it would help if someone knowledgeable sent me a
config
(ARACHNE.CFG) file designed to operate with Compuserve. I use only DOSCIM
to
normally access Compuserve.
