Hi Tom

I believe that Microsoft deliberarely lets piracy loose in some markets

so that they keep using Microsoft products, so they keep a strangehold

of such markets.  They could have easily implemented registration at the time

W98 started with automatic update through internet. If everybody here

had to pay U$ 250 or so for Windows, I am sure a lot of people would

go for Linux , DOS or something else.  But if we are using Windows now

it seems reasonable to expect that we will keep using Windows in the

future.
