I have tried Personal Netware. It as packed together with the DR-DOS 7.03
distribution. I think Pesonal Netware is a very good DOS peer-to-peer
networking system from Novell, in every aspect better than its Windows
counterpart. It offer more reliability and better security. Every Personal
Netware user gets a unique login name and password which enables him/her to
access as many network resources as it is considered to be necessary.by the
supervisor of each server in the network.

In contrast, the Windows Networking System (or SMB) has a separate name and
password for each network resource (folder or printer). This means that each
user of that network needs to have a list of many different resource names
and passwords. This thing may lead to confusion and, worse, to security leaks.

Internet conectivity can be assured by loading the odipkt.com shim, together
with the network card's ODI driver. This eliminates the need of hunting for
DOS packet drivers. Also, the generic ODI NE2000 driver works almost for any
NE2000 compatible card (some OEM drivers may be buggy; this is the case with
my Surecom NE12 card). Odipkt comes together with Arachne.
