Hi Ron;
This link/mirror in Japan still works:
http://www.rarf.riken.go.jp/archives/pc/simtelnet/
May I suggest that we get organized and delegate specific subdirs in MSDOS
for each of us to collect in the hopes we get it all before that twit closes
the door ? I'm not in need of anything in particular from that collection
right now, but who knows what the future could hold for each of us ?
I agree with L.D. here, in that I'm sure the authors that freely uploaded
their stuff for distribution didn't intend that some Windows archivist
should be able to regulate access to their glory contribution.
I also agree that Simtel owns the Simtel name and possibly the structure
of the subdirs. Let's get the material NOW and worry about what to name
it and how to allow access later.
Hell, let's just call it the secretnet collection for a while. <g>
Or is there some problem with this idea which is bigger than the problems
posed by HTTP access and David K. ?
As always, half-cocked,
