Sometimes DSL service comes with PPTP instead of PPPoE (T = tunneling), and
sometimes there is neither PPTP nor PPPoE. In the absence of PPPoE or PPTP,
would setting up DSL be the same as setting up for cable, assuming Ethernet
connection, or is there still something additional?
Does anybody know what is the purpose of PPPoE?
