There is nothing like Arachne Telnet. SSH for DOS and Arachne are based 
on WATTCP, and latest WATTCP supports DHCP. "Arachne Telnet" is just old
NCSA Telnet package, based on unsupported NCSA TCP/IP stack, which does 
BOOTP, but not DHCP. WATTCP tries DHCP first, when configured to use 
BOOTP; when Arachne is set to "IP_address BOOTP", the same choice is 
already labeled "DHCP / BOOTP" on graphical setup screens...

I believe "host" is generally name "any computer connected to Internet" 
- it doesn't have anything to do with client-server nature of some of 
internet protocols... especially ancient protocols like BOOTP may use 
"peer-to-peer" terminilogy...
