i have a little freeware utility called "BounceSpam v1.8" which is lovely. It creates a fake "bounce" message complaining that the address is invalid. I copy the message body with all headers into it and input the reply-to addy and my addy and smtp server and away it goes. It really seems to work. I've been having someone maliciously feed my address to spambots lately (I seem to annoy some folks) and yet the bouncing is working because the spam is reducing where it ought to be increasing. Certainly #1 in the anti-spam arsenal is NEVER respond in any way to any spam you recieve! I've seen newsgroup posts advertising the sale of cds with thousands of proven valid emails for direct marketing. Get on one of those and your address is toast for spam. Hmmm, spam on toast. Seems tasty...
