Never hoid uv soich a ting! Maybe she's a bit confused. My new system came with a DVD-ROM drive, and a CD-RW drive. Now, in my case, I can put a CD I want to copy into the DVD drive, and write the copy at the same time in the 'burner' [if the software allows that ... dunno, but it should]. But many times you read the CD being copied, save to files, and then write the files ... often 1 by 1, switching back & forth, because the files take up gigabytes of HDD space.
