ahhh...Thomas....my reaction, exactly, but...then...this is a new DELL
system being "consulted" by a DellSystemSalesTech(an unlikely beast)...
..and...I suppose two CDdrives costs more.....<g g g g>....

For ordinary users, who aren't playing a lot of music CDs, a dual
purpose drive would be optimum...which is WHY they designed them in the
first place.  They are perfect for normal CD usage such as loading
software, backing up, etc.

For heavy users, though, they probably need two...just so they don't
wear their burner out playing noise.....<g g g g>
