ahhh...Thomas....my reaction, exactly, but...then...this is a new DELL system being "consulted" by a DellSystemSalesTech(an unlikely beast)... ..and...I suppose two CDdrives costs more.....<g g g g>.... For ordinary users, who aren't playing a lot of music CDs, a dual purpose drive would be optimum...which is WHY they designed them in the first place.
