I worry how the average joe on the street is supposed to know stuff
like that. It's the sort of thing that makes me say Linux isn't ready
for primetime.

We are all a bit more computer savvy than that guy, and WE have to
depend on the High Priests of Linuxhood for instruction on even the
simplest operations.

Sure, we might get used to it. May even become acolytes.
But ....
