This is surprising news. I haven't had a problem in copying to floppies some DOS utilities and other useful DOS programs on my DOS machine and then copying the same programs from the floppies to my neighbor's WINME machine. This stuff even runs quite OK on her WINME machine! If WIMME can be backwards compatible for very old DOS programs, why can't it be backwards compatible for the much newer Windows 98 programs?
