I want to protect it against itself! <G>  I want to boot to DOS without
having to use F8.  I want to make certain any "messaging" software
doesn't open up a back door that others can send files through. etc etc

I don't know enough to disagree with you about no open ports, but if
that were the case, how can SETI At Home and the cancer research thing
work?  And then there's the embedded service hijacking of Brilliant
inside Kaza...

I hate M$ ... I really REALLY hate Microsoft.
