*.ra is the proprietary format used by RealPlayer. Yes, I've run across many of those. > >From Plany.txt: > > SoundBlaster .VOC > Sun/NeXT/DEC .AU > Windows .WAV > Sounder/Soundtools .SND *.snd is exactly the same format as *.au (basically just raw sound data)... do 'cat *.au | *.snd > /dev/audio', and they both play just fine. > Amiga .8SVX .IFF > > In addition, PLANY will attempt to detect and play the sound > samples contained in Amiga .MOD files. > > Are you likely to have Amiga sound format files on your HD ? Yup. Not only on the hard drive, but even already in the web server directory. http://wizard.dyndns.org/nirvana.mod *.mod uses samples which are sequenced to form compositions. It was a MUCH more effecient way of doing things than *.wav files and sounded the same across systems, unlike *.midi which depend on midi libraries on any particular system. -- Steve Ackman http://twoloonscoffee.com (Need green beans?) http://twovoyagers.com (glass, linux & other stuff)
