DR-DOS 7.03 comes with an integrated networking system called Personal
Netware. I tested it and, like I said before, it is a high quality
product. The only drawback is that, being now part of DR-DOS, it can be
installed only if DR-DOS is installed.
If you decide to give it a try, get a copy of DR-DOS 7.03 (many folks here
can point you to the place you can get it) and install it on both
machines. It doesn't ruin anything, in fact it makes backups of your
previous boot and system files, and leaves the rest of the previous DOS
files intact, so DR-DOS can be safely uninstalled. Then you'll
also need the respective driver from the ODI or NETWARE (whichever the
client) directory of the driver disk you're saying you've downloaded from
the 3Com site. Read carefully through the docs, cause this is not just a
simple link between two computers, but a network, so you're going to be a
netadmin in the end :). I can provide you more specific help when needed,
if you decide to install it.
Best regards
Cristian
