Hi Gerald,
          yes, GS is very clumsy... not easy to install and not easy to
handle.
But as far as I know the only DOS PDF viewer that, sometimes, does the job.

I tried ACRODOS (ADOBE for DOS) but it is very outdated and it is not easy
too... views only very outdated PDF versions and does not have any
practical use.

VIEW.EXE for viewing WORD files is OK and easy to use and has some nice
features to make handeling other text files.
