I got a prompt for my login and password. I entered the data and nothing happened, which is what I expected. Apparently the dialup number is for PPP access only. In order to get to the shell you have to first get connected to the internet and then connect to a node on the internet via Telnet or SSHDOS. BTW, I don't know if the shell accounts at neandertech accept Telnet logins. Some shell accounts don't. I always use SSHDOS. I wish I could get a shell account where I could get into it by direct dialup with just a comm program. In order for such a shell account to be extremely useful the shell itself would have to be connected somehow to the internet.
