Hmmm,
Everything worked fine when I downloaded the "Serving 2" program (many
moons ago).
Try a web search for "SERVING 2", "JANSOFT", "JAN VERHOEVEN", or any
other potential key words in my original message.
Or, try emailing Jan at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I never tried any of the links for the Small Pascal authors, so I have no
idea when they stopped working.
Most of the links for FREE things disappear over time. These might be
examples of that. Often the owners move from free site to free site, so the
links continue to change.
However, IF you find SERVING 2 (or a newer version), then you'll probably
be interested in the way it interfaces with a browser (if it is a M$
Windows enabled browser). The following is copied from one of the Serving 2 help
pages.
Bob
---------------
- Starting Serving -
- Run Serving and click the Start button. Serving is now listening at http://127.0.0.1. - Open your favourite browser and enter as url: http://127.0.0.1/index.html
- Serving will display the localhost name and the local IP
Address.
- Stop Serving - - Click the Stop button and Serving will stop listening. - Why use Serving? - - Why use a program like Serving when you can just open any local html file in your browser without the need of an extra program? - Serving can be used as a form server. You can
enter data in a HTML form and submit it. Serving will handle the received form
data and append it with a time stamp to a database.
- You can also use Serving to request data from a
database.

Serving SmallPascal Update: SmallPascal is based on the Pascal interpreter in the R&A Library 1.51. This excellent Delphi freeware library is created by Andrey Prigunkov and Roman Tkachev. I thank both authors for making this freeware library available. *********
The library can be found at: http://www.infa.ru/black/ralib.htm
