Well, this seems a good time to ask all the DOS-BUFFS [I love it and
work in it 99.8% of the time!] can I DEBUG a D: HDD?

I have several old drives that will not work as C: drive. I read that I
should use "3" as the drive value... but I am reluctent to attempt this.
I have several 1.3Gb to 8.4Gb HDD's that could use a low-level format
and clean up to get them to work better.

Any other ideas on reviving old HDD's would be appreciated. I have some
recovery programs but would be most obliged to learn of/get some more...
I have about 40 HDD's, and some are in need of recovery.

I have read of some Windows95? programs that reportedly allow one to go
back into the history of the drive and restore the settings. Is anything
like that available in DOS?
