Hey gang; I think anyone capable of installing and running archlinux is not really likely to be a "newbie". I think anyone who is no longer a newbie knows what limitations exist in using a forum the way arch and most other distros use forums. i.e. I expect most folks know that forums are a very time intensive way to have a discussion about things compared to a mailing list. Having said that, I also think once a discussion is completed, they ARE a good resource for troubleshooting, but only because of the rather good search facilities. (And some people just seem to prefer them over email when having a discussion, but I am not sure why myself.) SO I think they DO serve a support function. And I think leaving things the way they are currently to be a good idea. Very best regards; Bob Finch _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://www.archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
