Hello all,
I have been having troubles with my arch box as of late. The problem
seems to be random, and it has disapeared spontaneously before, but it
has not worked for 3 days now.
The problem is that my mouse does not work at all. The strange thing is
that according to the system it _is_ working just fine. That is,
messages in Xorg.log state that the mouse is being initialized and
started just fine. It is a logitech optical mouse, which does work fine
on any other computer, and even on this one, the laser is lit up and
powered. If I swap a mouse from another box it demonstrates the same
behavior
As far as I know it is not permissions problem, as /dev/misc/psaux has
proper permissions and the mouse doesn't work either as regular user or
root. The cursor just sits motionless on the screen and button clicks
do not register.
Has anyone seen something like this? Some troubleshooting tips would be
great. If any system info is required please just ask.
The system is Xorg version 6.8.2-2, Arch 0.7, stock kernel 2.6.12.1
