Hi, i use the Zope/Plone2 on multiple systems running Arch and Gentoo. I move Zope exports between these systems without problems. I also run ZEO.
The official arch zope package is a little bit outdated (the package is already flagged, don't file a bug report). Therefore i use a custom PKGBUILD. Jason: I would adopt zope, if you like. Plone2 isn't available as package. Just install the official sources in your zope instance. Arch's zope package doesn't handle instance/product management at all like Gentoos zprod-manager. This is a good thing because zprod-manager is just an eye-candy crutch ;) and the zopes product-dependencies are just too complex. Gentoos packages are often broken/outdated.
