Hi all,

I've upgraded to Xorg 7 successfully, but i got a strange behaviour. When gdm
starts it's like all the pixlels are drawn on the top of the screen, leaving
the rest in pure background color. After the splash screen ends, the panels are
drawn normally, but the background image is drawn as the splash screen. I also
get a strange behaviour in window drawing. E.g.: if i open a terminal window i
get the title bar on the top of the scree (behind the panel) and the rest of
the window in normal screen area. Whe i try write it goes well, but when
backspacing or deleting, the cursor have a strange behaviuor. Due to this i
tried to downgrade to Xorg 6.8.2 (got from release repo), but now some programs
(like amsn and emacs) refuse to start sayng something like "Undefined color:
'black'" or "Warning: Color 'Black' is not defined".

My arch is updated to the "current" repo (but Xorg) with a self compiled
2.6.15-mm4 kernel. When downgrading I've removed ttf-bitstream-vera and didn't
reinstalled it due to conflicts with Xorg.

Thanks for help
Stefano
