so I still have X display !!

I should have added that I too have X display which I thought was super weird.

Why ? because I have a X11R6 link to /usr I think ( in /usr : mv X11R6
X11R6.sav then ln -s /usr X11R6 )
The message "/sbin/ldconfig: File
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA-dynamic.so.1.sav is empty, not checked."
comes with each install with pacman now ...
Thx for a quick fix
