FFS, wxwidgets is on of the biggest pain in the packages I maintain. You
either have to keep 10 million versions around side by side, or patch 10
Million packages to work with the one version we provide. So far we have
to keep a 2.6 version for audacity and vlc got patched for 2.8.
When vlc moves qt4 I really hope we actually can drop most of the
wxwidgets stuff for good!
For all the people whi flag wxgtk, the above is the reason why they get
updated only once in half a year. Becaus eyou have to make sure every
packgae works with it AND most likely you have to patch all of them!
