what about the repos? are they gonna stay as they are now? id prefer not having as many as now tbh. imho it would be better to have a new current which would reflect todays current+extra minus the cleaned packages and a new extra which would reflect todays community+unstable (or maybe port unstable to testing).
as for gtk1 there other apps using it besides xmms (which i agree it should be available somewhere other than current if not dropped completely) like audacity which doesnt have a gtk2 equivalent yet.
